چکیده مقاله:
The parasitoid wasp Chelonus kermakiae (Tobias) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) has been reported to be the main parasitoid of the pistachio twig borer moth Kermania pistaciella Amsel (Lepidoptera: Tineidae). In this research, the effectiveness of the natural mineral biochar of Kouhbanan in controlling Kermania pistaciella on two pistachio cultivars, Kalegouchi and Fandoghi, and its effect on the parasitism of the new generation were evaluated. Field studies in the form of a completely randomized design during three foliar sprays, including the winter fight, the second time in the swelling stage of the buds and the third time during the fruit formation phase. After one year, the average weight and death rate of pupae, sex ratio and percentage of parasitism in the new generation were investigated. The pupae weight in control for Kalehgouchi and Fandoghi cultivar 4.51±1.69 and 4.57±1.89, in Biochar treatment 3.63±2.30 and 4.29±1.53 mg; the percentage of parasitism was 41 and 61 for control and 21 and 58% for the biochar treatment, respectively. The use of biochar on Kalegouchi cultivar decreased the weight of pupae, but this difference was not significant. The highest mortality rate of pupae affected by biochar was on the Kalehgouchi variety (23%). The sex ratio of female in biochar treatment on Kalehgouchi and Fendghi cultivars was 1.15 to 1 and 2.5 to 1; in control, 1.94 to 1 and 3.38 to 1, respectively. Biochar did not have a significant difference on the percentage of parasitism on the Fandoghi cultivar and reduced the female moth on two pistachio cultivars.
