چکیده مقاله:
Plant pathogens have played an important role in weeds biological control since 1981 -2023, bioherbicides including Collego1, based on a foliar-applied fungal pathogen (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides f. sp. Aeschynomene), is used to control Aeschynomene virginica, a leguminous weed in rice and soybean crops in USA. DeVine2, composed of a Florida isolate of (Phytophthora palmivora), is used for the control of Morrenia odorata in citrus in Florida. BioMal3, registered for the control of Malva pusilla and M. parviflora, containing (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides f.sp. malvae), is, now proposed new product as Mallet WP, in USA & Canada. Camparico4, a foliar bacterial agent [Xanthomonas campestris pv. poae] to control Poa annua on golf courses and turf grass in Japan. Stumpout5, a wood-decaying fungus [Cylindrobasidium laeve] to control resprouting of wattle (Acacia mearnsii & A. pycnantha) in south Africa. Dr. BioSedge6, based on the rust fungus (Puccinia canaliculata) and registered for the control of Cyperus esculentus (yellow nutsedge) in the United States. Smolder7, based on (Alternaria destruens), a pathogen recently cleared by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to control dodder (Cuscuta spp.). BioChon8, based on (Chondrostereum purpureum) and registered for control broad-leaved trees (Prunus serotica). Di-Bak®9 Parkinsonia is based on three fungi grown on a solid substrate, which together have been found to induce dieback and eventually death of the woody weed Parkinsonia aculeata in Australia. SolviNixTM 10 is a postemergence foliar bioherbicide to control the herbaceous weed Solanum viarum. Bioherbicide an important role in conventional and sustainable agricultural systems in the world.
