چکیده مقاله: |
In this research, effective factors in attracting the participation of farmers to use biological methods for pest control instead of using chemical pesticides have been investigated. This research was done with a descriptive-analytical approach by using a questionnaire and fieldwork in Rudbar County. After checking validity and reliability, the questionnaire was distributed to 160 farmers, filled out, and then analyzed using SPSS21 software. The results showed 82% of people use chemical methods and 18% remove pests and improve crop performance without using pesticides. Most of them (75%) have little knowledge about biological pest control methods, at the same time, about 50% were familiar with the concept of organic products. Most of them believed if the use of these methods increases the quantity and quality of the manufactured products and guarantees their health, they are willing to use these methods (about 85%). Also, about 75% believed that if the use of these methods guarantees economic profitability and prevents farmers from wasting time and capital, they are willing to use these methods. Among the various factors that were investigated, guaranteeing the health of products gained the most importance from the point of view of farmers. Therefore, by holding consistent and continuous training courses according to the conditions of each region in terms of types of crops, common pests, and suitable biological methods of pest control, an important step could be taken in the field of reducing the use of pesticides and improving the health of agricultural products in the region. |
